How to Use My Search Engines

Hello!
You are at the first step for finding your dream home. Follow these simple instructions and you will find property right away on this map based search system. Print this page or in any case the search link will come up in a separate window so you can switch back and forth to practice.

1. From my website Sandy Kay Homes press the phrase Home Search:Prime Areas right above the photo carousel
2. A map will then appear on the right with all of Santa Clara county and a drop down menu will appear on the left that you can customize to your needs
3. Narrow the search by picking a zip code or other primary criteria like price range
4. You have now received a results count of homes for the search parameters you entered
5. You may narrow the search by adding more restrictions such as bedrooms, foreclosures only, single family homes only or walk score for example. Walk score is a cool feature that correlates with community. The higher the walk score the easier it is to get to all the things you need to live. This is not to be confused with the Walking Routes for San Jose that is a school based site that makes suggestions for how kids should best get to school on foot – also valuable to recognize neighborhood value.
6. You can highlight the school district boundary by going to the lower right side of the map and engaging a drop up menu and selecting the school district. The map will then show a shadow of the district boundary. If the map is too large you may need to decrease the size and move it over the area with the school boundary of interest.

SCHOOL DISTRICT BASED HOME SEARCHING

1. Go to the red highlighted Schools tab at the top of my website and a map of the affordable elementary school areas that have top aptitude scores will show up.
2. Go to any school district of your choice and an outline of the district will appear
3. Open the module on the same page and put the map and module side by side
4. Search for properties there just as you learned above
5. Make sure to engage the school district shadow in the module that you opened by clicking on the search engine in the lower right corner of the map
6. 

Be advised that school district boundaries change and published school data here or by any agent does not replace confirming the school that your child will be attending with the school board. Street locators are provided by the school boards and are the most accurate method of finding out if the school information is correct by entering the address and looking at the assigned school data.
